SBSS Welcomes Carol Lee Thorpe

It gives us great pleasure to announce that Carol Lee Thorpe will be joining St. Barnabas Senior
Services as our new Vice President, Programs and Services. Carol Lee comes to us from a
number of community non-profit organizations, including St. Francis Medical Center, where she
served for over 16 years in various capacities including Program Advisor to their Career College,
Vice President of Community Services and Chief Executive Officer of the Medical Center’s
Foundation.
Prior to St. Francis, Carol Lee was Executive Director of St. Anne’s Foundation, Executive
Director of Centinela Hospital Foundation and Director of Resource Development for California
Specials Olympics. On a personal note, Carol Lee is actively involved with a number of health,
education and social service organizations.
As our new Vice President, Programs and Services, Carol Lee will have overall strategic
and operational responsibility for all program areas. She will be a member of the Senior
Management Team, and will oversee a budget in excess of $4 million and a staff of over 75
employees. Her responsibilities will include program leadership and management, maintaining
and developing external relationships with our partner organizations, and working closely with
members of senior management in the areas of knowledge management, finance and human
resources.
Carol Lee’s first day at St. Barnabas will be Monday, August 27th. Please join us in extending a
