SBSS, LAAAC and the older adults we serve partnered with KCRW on a report highlighting the stories of homelessness and vulnerability.
The local 2018 homeless count reports a 22% increase in homelessness among older adults. Many of the aging adults we serve live on fixed incomes and cannot afford to pay rising rents each month. In fact, an estimated 250,000 income vulnerable older adults in LA County are currently falling victim to our homeless crisis.
